Specialised Mental Health Staff Training
In-person, applied training for teams supporting adults with complex mental-health needs — building safer judgement, stronger engagement and practice that gives CQC the evidence of a Good service.
Essential applied learning
A focused half day of engaging, applied learning designed to strengthen staff understanding, person-led practice and the quality of evidence CQC sees.
Training covers
- Trauma- and neurodiversity-informed care: why some people are considered “hard to engage” and how to build the rapport and trust required for a Good service.
- Behaviours as communication: understanding EUPD, formerly Borderline Personality Disorder, cPTSD, depression, drug-related psychosis, hoarding, autism and adult ADHD — and providing informed support.
- Assessment and care planning: comprehensive risk and needs assessments, person-led care plans and care notes that evidence good person-led care.
Give staff the essential understanding to engage people more effectively and deliver safer, genuinely person-led mental-health care.
